Hi, I’m Anna.
I’m a Calgary-based therapist offering individual and couples counselling for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and personal growth. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, integrative approach that supports both insight and meaningful, lasting change.
I believe therapy is not just about managing symptoms—it’s about understanding yourself more deeply and developing a more compassionate and connected relationship with who you are.
My Approach
❋
My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to your unique needs.
I draw from evidence-based and experiential therapies, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based approaches, somatic awareness, and attachment-based frameworks. This allows us to explore not only your thoughts and behaviors, but also your emotional and physiological experiences.
Together, we work to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences, and build the capacity for change in a way that feels safe and sustainable.
As a therapist in Calgary, I work with individuals who are seeking deeper self-understanding, improved relationships, and a more grounded way of moving through life.
I support client with:
-
I provide a safe, trauma-informed space where we can explore how past experiences continue to impact your current well-being and relationships.
By integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, and Somatic Awareness, I help you move beyond traditional talk therapy to process trauma at both a cognitive and physiological level.
Our work together focuses on understanding deep-seated patterns and building the nervous system's capacity for regulation, allowing you to move from a state of survival into a more grounded, compassionate life.
-
I help you understand the cycle of anxiety by identifying the thought patterns and behaviors that keep you feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness, we work to build practical tools that ground you in the present moment and quiet the "noise" of chronic stress.
Our sessions focus on expanding your nervous system's capacity to handle life’s pressures, moving you away from constant "high alert" and toward a state of sustainable calm and confidence.
-
I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space to explore the roots of your depression, whether they stem from life transitions, past experiences, or a persistent sense of disconnection.
Our work focuses on identifying the self-critical patterns that fuel low mood while using Internal Family Systems (IFS) to understand the parts of you that feel stuck or hopeless.
Together, we integrate cognitive tools and mindfulness to help you reconnect with your values and build a sense of agency, moving toward a life that feels more meaningful and engaged.
-
I view healthy relationships as a balance of secure attachment, clear communication, and the ability to maintain your individuality while staying connected to your partner.
My approach involves identifying the "cycles" or protective patterns that lead to conflict, helping you and your partner understand the deeper needs and vulnerabilities beneath the surface.
Together, we work to build a foundation of mutual respect and emotional safety, using Attachment-based frameworks to foster deeper intimacy and more resilient connections.
-
I support you in exploring the many layers of your identity, helping you navigate the tension between societal expectations and your authentic self.
Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), we work to understand the different "parts" of your identity, fostering self-compassion and clarity as you move through life transitions or shifts in self-perception.
Our sessions focus on aligning your daily life with your core values, empowering you to live with a stronger sense of purpose and a more integrated understanding of who you are.
What’s it like to work together
❋
My style is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded.
I aim to create a space where you feel supported and understood, while also gently challenged to explore new perspectives and patterns. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we move at a pace that feels right for you.
